GyralGrinder® Puck and Ring Grinding Vessels are the grinding media used with the GyralGrinder® to energetically grind conventional to very hard samples to very fine powders in the least amount of time. A vessel consists of a bowl, lid with an “O” ring seal, solid dense puck and ring. The bowl integrates an upper flange for ease of handling and the lid has a central depression for self-alignment with the GyralGrinder® clamping mechanism with a self-locking and easy release mechanism integrated in the one hand operated knobbed lever.
All of the GyralGrinder® Puck and Ring Grinding Vessels and lids are fabricated from air craft grade aluminum for maximum strength with minimal weight. The grinding vessel and lid are lined with the desired material: Hardened Steel, Tungsten Carbide and Zirconia Ceramic. The pucks and rings are made from the same material as the liners. This methodology keeps the weight of the grinding vessels to a minumum while achieving desired hardness for the most consistent grinding.
